What to do after an accident

If you have been involved in an accident and not at fault then you should try to find out the insurer or the other driver. Also of course take the details of the other driver’s car registration and get photos of the following:

Damage to both cars
Overall location photos
Photo of the other driver

Also try and get some details from any witnesses to the incident. Make sure to write down what happened clearly with times and dates. Later on down the line (it can take years in some extreme cases) you will be clearer about what happened. We recommend you create a special folder on your computer and physical folder to keep all correspondence in.
